Inspect against the agreed references
Use the approved drawing, quantity schedule and finish sample to define the review. Identify visible faces, edge details, holes and supplied fixing parts. Separate dimensional checks from the appearance review so a polished photograph does not stand in for measured component dimensions.
Specify protection and separation
Describe how pieces should be protected during handling and packing. Ask the supplier to identify protective film, separators and support points suitable for the actual components. Heavy profiles, delicate visible faces and large panels may need different arrangements.
Keep labels connected to installation
Use part numbers, drawing types or location references to label packaged components. Record the quantity in each package and any accessories packed separately. For phased installation, agree how the packing sequence relates to delivery and site storage rather than treating all components as one loose shipment.
