Selection notes

Keep the full assembly
in the specification.

Custom stainless steel fabrication begins with the component geometry and the surfaces that will remain visible. Provide drawings with units, dimensions, tolerances where required and revision numbers. Mark weld locations, bends, returns and any interfaces with other trades. Reference photographs help explain appearance but do not replace the manufacturing drawing.

A quotation should separate material, surface finish, fabrication scope, fixing components and packing. Include quantities by part number and explain whether components need to be delivered as individual pieces or labelled sets. Samples or prototypes can be requested for review, with costs, timing and acceptance criteria to be agreed for the specific order.

Can you quote from a concept sketch?

A preliminary inquiry can start from a sketch, but missing dimensions and construction details need confirmation.

Are sample costs and lead times fixed?

They depend on the component and scope. Request a specific sample proposal rather than assuming standard terms.
