Measure the finished enclosure
Provide the underlying column geometry and the required finished outside dimensions. Mark offsets, base and head conditions and nearby finishes. The decorative cover is an enclosure around the structure; its dimensions should not be inferred from the structural member size alone.
Coordinate segmentation and joints
Show how many sections make up each cover and where joints are intended to appear. Include access needs and fixing interfaces. For repeated columns, use a type schedule so variations in height or perimeter are visible before pricing and production planning.
Agree appearance and handling
Specify base material, thickness, finish direction and sample reference. Reflective or directional surfaces should be reviewed with the proposed seam positions in mind. Clarify supports, closures, labelling and protection so the supply scope can be compared consistently.
Keep these details together.
- Structure and finished enclosure sizes
- Height and quantity by column type
- Segment joints, access and supports
- Finish reference and visible seams
